I live in Toronto, and I found a black on gray '87 turbo II with 200K km, it's at a dealership. I talked them down to 3000 as is. Everytihng works ie. turbo, sunroof, lights, and p/windows. It has a little surface rust and bondo. but is in pretty good condition. I can also purchase a 6 month powertrain warrenty for 150. Needs some suspension and brake work but it is drivable.
Keep in mind this is $2,189 Aamerican and we have to deal with tax wich is included in sthis deal.
I know this might belong in the for sale or wanted catagory but I needed opinions.
p.s. there is bondo in the door panel wich has made the edges round, is this possible to make a straight edge again?

Sounds like a good deal to me. All you have to do is get a compression check on the engine and go for a test drive and push her a bit to see if she will smoke or show signs of something wrong. I would pay that extra cash for the warranty just in case.

lol...I questioned him hard on that...it will cover the rotary engine. however, the catch is the warrenty covers $900 and isn't on the clutch, but still worth it I think.

Ya, the only way i'll buy a replacement part form him is if I know I can't find a matching price. Remember since I live in Canada it isn't as easy, and cheap to get parts like some of you could.

45 minutes. go down there and take it for a test drive - go partway down the road, do the ghetto rotary compression check..
remove the leading plugs and turn the engine over with the EGI fuse Removed. if you hear a steady pulse then its good, if its like a galloping horse, then stay away.
theres lots of other stuff you could check
i can tag along with you if you really wanted
