who said the kid is trying to make it appear a TII maybe he just likes the look ha nothing to do with making it look like a TII because if you knew anything about cars you would see either the IC in the front or the IC through the scoop simple.

My car is Non turbo and currently has a Turbo II hood. Then again, I'm getting my turbo motor rather soon.

the turbo engine only puts out 30 more horsepower anyway so why would i want to be a poser and pretend i have 30 more horsepower?

if you do it for weight savings, great, but its only 10 pounds for crying out loud.

the hood swap is done for looks and looks alone. when i get a turbo hood im going to paint it. the car will look much more agressive.

you say it disturbs air flow and cooling? just block of the scoop.... simple solution.

 

Most people think the TII hoods look better than N/A ones but everyone has their own opinion.

Only fans of Rx-7s know the difference and should be able to tell if the owner is trying to "make the car something it isn't" or just trying to improve its looks.

Putting a TII hood on an N/A will lead to an aggravating whistling noise while driving.....and make the car explode.

 

Only a dumbass would think the difference between the NA and Turbo engines is "only" 30hp...

 

soooo we put a t2 hood on a friends BP S5 and it made the intake manifold touchable after hard runs. where as before the hood you'd burn your hand. So i'd say it made a difference...

 

I had my turbo II sitting in my backyard, it won't be rebuilt til the summer hopefully. I just got my new dd, which is red, with a black bumper, and black fender. I swapped the ugly red steel hood (I am not a fan of red), for the black tII hood. I am in no way trying to pass my car off as turbo, and the hood will return back to my tII once it get's rebuilt. I'm surprised this thread went this way, all over a damn hood.

Ha. I bought it with the black bumper/fender. It was cheap, it's a daily driver. Has black wheels, and imo I think the hood looks black hood looks good with the red.

OH and what if someone likes the s5 center console better? does it make them a ricer if they swap it out from the s4? Oh, and I guess me saying s4 and s5 and TII is rice too huh?
