Question Turbo hood on N/A ?

i was thinking of putting on a turbo hood on my N/A FC ... in some ways it think it looks more aggresive , but in another way i feel like im being a "Ricer" ... cant decide...
Will adding the hood make my car performance worst, better, or just stay the same ? (kinda new with cars )

about how much would it be to just paint tha hood and headlights?

DNX a lot people!!!

Won't do anything.

For the paint, I'd say depends on where you get it done. I'd say for a good job $100-$150.

The TII hood on a N/A looks nice, but at high speeds, you will have a pressurized engine bay, limiting cooling ability, forcing air under the car, feeding the intake a little, but that is a list of 2 bad things to 1 good thing, and the problem is that the 1 good thing isn't that good, being that the air will heat up before reaching it. I would say if it is for show, go for it, if for racing, come up with a way to duct air from the scoop to the Cold Air Box that you will build.

it wont change anything performance wise, well you will have a hood with a hole in it so it most likely keeps the bay cooler, but not by much i would imagine. a lot of people will say its rice but if you think it looks good, **** em. its your car do what you will, imo the t2 hood looks better than the n/a hood any day.

If you have a steel hood, using a alum TII hood will drop a little bit of weight...otherwise I'd say theres no other performance gains/losses....if you like the way it looks, then go for it. I, on the other hand, am trying to get me a alum n/a hood for my TII, why you ask? because that silly hood scoop makes my car look faster, and I don't want attention...plus with a FMIC the scoop is usless

Hey the way it looks is up to you, some people like the scoop others don't. Personally I like the NA hood. Also don't whine when people start trying to race you because they think you have some sort of conversion.

agreed. it all depends on what YOU think. Dosent matter what other people think. I personally like the T2 hoods, thus why I got a T2 instead of a N/A :P but another one of my friends, who we both have similar taste in cars hates the hood. So ... choose what you like

since none of the older guys are speaking up....

i have done this to my fc, and i like it. it is way easier than trying to find a na aluminum hood, and the bad things aren't nearly bad enough to outweigh the negatives you get from anyone else. i like mine like this, and that's all i care about.

Been talked about a bagillion times before.

If you want the performance, if you can call that performance, have the scoop covered up so that air just rolls over it instead of into it. That will give you the "weight" savings. If you ask me its the more poser and ricer thing to do in the FC game. People will think you have a TII when they see it. My motto is "be true to who you are" which would mean do not put a TII hood on an N/a. Agressive or not it IS A SYMBOL from the Turbo II model and NONE other which makes it a deceptive item on an N/a.
