Timing after rebuild???
Well this was my first time doing the timming on my car, not just adjusting it. I actualy need to know how to set the cas, after I put the engine together... I was able to start the car and let it idle, but I know its running way to advanced, I tried restabing it and it went from bad to worse. Plus moving the cas back and forth didnt have any affect on the idle.. Its like it doesnt matter where I have it.... Any Ideas are helpfull, or maybe point me to the fsm for some answers..... the car is pretty much undriveable, which is why I need to fix this by tommorrow. In order to drive it back from the exhaust place( jap motor with a mutilated DP, so im towing it over ther).
Thanks,
Martin

Generally if you're in the ballpark, moving the CAS only 1/2" will have a noticeable affect on idle, so you must be pretty far off...I would remove & restab, making sure the yellow pulley mark is aligned with the front cover pointer, and marking the CAS (take the cover off of the sensor area), so that when you re-stab her, you can see if she moved relative to your marks, and adjust accordingly once you've got her in...

check out the hitmans site and look at the picture for the correct way to line up the CAS/// (not the hitmans "i don't know what i'm doing way.. that is for a haltech)
http://www.hitman.hm/installation.htm
basically, for the factory setup you line up the yellow mark on the pully with the pointer on the front cover. then you set the CAS in so that (when looking down at the top from the drivers side of the engine) the pointers inside the CAS are at the bottom of the sensor of the left and to the top of the sensor on the right.
