Question Turbo flange gasket blown out?

Alrighty heres my problem I have a 87 tii s4 turbo. Awhile ago the turbo flange gasket blew out and I finally got a new one. I started to lose boost as well, well I found out the last guy forgot to put on two of four flange nuts, anyways after putting it in it was much quieter and after driving it for awhile I checked to make sure all the nuts were tight again and I did again in a few days..however after time I started to notice an exhaust leak and now it's quite bad. I'm pretty sure the downpipe gasket is going or pretty much gone but I'm thinkin its the turbo flange gasket again...does anyone know why this might be? I'm assuming it's warped (manifold)..I forgot to check but could it be from to much backpressure and why? my exhaust is pretty much a 3 inch straight through design don't think it should be happening.. could my wastegate be affecting anything?
