Question turbo/exh. manifold gaskets...

My turbo/manifold gasket (the small rectangular one) was found to be completely disentegrated. I took the car to a local shop that said they could do the job easily....At first, we ordered both manifold gaskets (block-turbo), then the mechanic said that there is a total of eight gaskets that would need to be replaced in order to finish this job. I can see three gaskets....but not eight! (The third being the doughnut to the DP...)

Is this true guys?

Thanks!

From: n
engine block to turbo exhaust manifold
turbo exhaust manifold to turbo
turbo to pre-cat or downpipe
turbo oil inlet
turbo oil outlet
oil outlet flex pipe to oil front pipe
oil front pipe to front cover
lower intake manifold to coolant pipe to turbo

You don't NEED to replace all of them, and I think the shop is trying to screw you over to pay more.

Thanks ted!

I appreciate the input.

I bitched at the shop and told em to reuse whatever was good. I really hate dealing with shops and the local Mazda dealership...They're all idiots and deserve to die! (especially Wood Mazda!)
