How long does the average S4 and S5 Turbo II engine last before it needs a rebuild?

there isn't really an average. Mine was babied by the previous owner and lasted 40k miles. I konw some that are up near 200k miles... it seems to me that it's a crapshoot, but ingeneral a well maintained properly driven car should last about 150K, any more than that and it's probably getting iffy...

I'm on to my second, was rebuilt at 60000. Its now on 114000 with equal bounces of just over 100 psi on the front and rear. Since the rebuild its had an oil change roughly every 2500 miles using 20w50 mineral. Regular oil changes play a big part in the lifespan of a rotary engine, especially the turbo's.
