Turbo Boost Q's?

Well im been searching and reading for about an hour and really cant find anything to help.

First its a 87 turbo 2, fully open custom exhaust, Custom FMIC, walbro FP, 720cc Sec's, 3in tdi theres more but really not important.

From no boost to 5lbs there isent much differance, only really after 5lbs do i feel any power. Its odd cause i would think i should be feeling some power. And really at max boost 12-13lbs it still really dont feel all that strong. I was just wondering if this is normal or what could be wrong. Could i be running to lean and with out the right mixture the boost not really making a differance?
Also when i adjust the boost up and down 3-4 psi with the boost controller theres not really that much differance. I can tell i lose and gain some hp but its really nothing major. should 3-4lbs feel like 3-4 hp or should it be more nite and day.

You need a fuel controller. You'll be running far too rich with those secondaries.

Im running 12-13# with stock injectors and a FD pump. Still fairly rich. You have gotta be just dumping way to much fuel in there. A piggyback will free up alot of HP.

Well i guess i'll deffentally be ordering a wideband now, i always thought everyone said on here if you planed on running over 10-12 psi you needed upgraded FP, and 720's for the increase of boost.
Also is a wideband of for tuning? or is it ok to leave in it all the time?

I think you missed the part about "fuel computer".

Sure, all those cheap kits have economical replacements.
