good question!!
before u can up the boost, u NEED:
-fuel cut defender, to prevent detonation
-walbro 255, because the old fuel pump wont be able to keep up
-wide band o2 sensor, to make sure ur not running lean
-boost controller, recommend electronic, i like the apexi avcr. to try and prevent boost spike
-and a BETTER tuner (those ''piggyback'' systems are VERY unreliable! u can only up the fuel so much, and only by rpm.. u would be safer getting a system where u could atleast tune fuel by rpm and boost levels) i have the apexi safc, and i ONLY use it as a monitor!
for tuning im using the rtek 2.1 and have been fairly happy with it
for just a STOCK system i would say just get the wastgate bored out
get a fuel cut defender
and at least a manual boost controller
and i wouldnt turn it up past 12psi
i learned the hard way boosting a stock turbo to 15+ and cooked the turbo

theyre good, but a local machine shop can bore the WG much cheaper.
did that to my stock turbo, cost me 40 bucks, went from the stock 11mm, to 13mm
and had zero boost creap, with a 2.5'' downpipe, 3'' test pipe, and 3'' catback.
