turbo 6port (not what you're thinking)

has anyone actually built a turbo engine with the NA rotor housings and the 6port manifolds? if so i want to see some DYNO's of your turbo 6port engine.
i was thinking of doing the aaroncake thing after buying another NA, but it seems it would be much better to use the NA 6port rotor housings.
i'm sure this post has been made 10040245 times, but i am actually looking for DYNO GRAPHS of people's cars who have actually done it. so please dont slam me with the SEARCH ************ line, i am not a newb.

thanks, and IF YOU HAVE A TURBO 6PORT MOTOR, PLEASE REPLY TO THIS POST.

I think you're better off just streetporting TII housings. If you wanted to just stick the Turbo on an N/A motor, the higher C/R would kill you.

well see thats why i'm wondering if you can use the NA housings that already have the 6pi already there, best of both worlds to use NA housings and 6pi and TII everything else.

The only reason NA's are halfway decent is because of the high comp rotors. Take those away and you'd have one hell of a dog on your hands. The NA ports dont flow so well in comparison to the t2 ones. IF you had it all apart, I can see no reason to run 6 port housings.

higher C/R = run less boost! There are lots of turbos out there on high CR motors...you just treat 4lbs on an NA block like 8lbs on a TII block....(more complicated but that's the general concept).

I think he's asking to only use the housings and manifold, not the rotors. I too thought this would be cool, but the N/A's don't have the same cooling ports and whatnot for keeping turbo's cooler. Good idea though

Why bother with the 6ports? You'd have to use the NA lower intake, the turbo spacer, and so forth, and it wouldn't be much better if at all better than a stock turbo engine.

I'd agree with above, and that a ported TII would be just as good, and probably cheaper.
