Which turbo for 6 port turbo conversion?

Im planning to turbo my car this next summer/fall/whenever, and am torn as to which turbo to use. Basically I have 2 options.

-Stock s4 or s5 HT-18

-T3/T4 Hybrid

My dillemma is basically this, the stock turbo has both water and oil cooling whereas the hybrid only has oil, but the hyrbid will spool quicker which is great cause i auto-x my car.

Currently im leaning towards the hybrid

Will my engine run significantly hotter with no water cooling on the turbo?

How much quicker will the hybrid spool compared to stock?

Using the stock turbo can make things more simple. With the stock turbo, there is no need to get a custom manifold, downpipe, and wastegate setup. However, with the stock turbo, you need to find a place to drain the coolant to. In my setup, a t04b, it is only oil cooled. Since it is only oil cooled, it doesn't heat up the engine as much as an oil & water cooled one would. I am seeing around the same temperatures as I had before I had the turbo.

An oil cooled only turbo is just fine, you'll just need a turbo timer to let it cool down before you shut off the car.

A "T3/T4 hybrid" just describes a family of turbos. There are hundreds of variants. But in general, anything with "T3" in the name is too small for a 13B.

How much power do you want to make and what is the primary purpose of the car?

You know I have a question real quick. Not trying to take over this thread. But can you use the Twin Turbos from a 3rd gen.

Could you? Yes. It requires a spacer and some major pain to fit a downpipe but it can be done. Why you would want to do this, I have no clue.

my heater core is leaking coolant so i just rerouted the coolant lines away from it..
i was wondinger if i could use those re-routed lines to go to the stock turbo instead.
yes i know winters comin and i'm going to be with no heater, lol.
or would i be better off if i T of the hoses and split them to go to both the heater and the turbo? (i may replace the heater cored depending on how cold it gets)

Primary use will be daily driver with autox on the weekends.

My horsepower goals (for now) are reasonably modest. Basically i'm looking for about ~230-260. I don't need boat loads of boost so 10psi would probly be it, but obviously that depends on the turbo.

Will the lack of water cooling shorten the life of my turbo?

Wouldn't he have less lag and wouldn't it be simpler to just have a custom manifold made and for him to get a t04b s-trim? Then it would also be ready to upgrade alot easier in the future if he changes his mind as well.

Also, you can use the coolant nipple on the rear iron for water cooling.

I've never driven a 6 port turbo but a stock turbo would spool rediculously fast with those rotors.

And couldn't you just not run a coolant lines to it?
