After you do all of the maintenance items, pick up a DP and PM, fuel pump, 720CC injectors, and a Haltech or Microtech if the cash allows, and go from there.

How do you know what boost you are running, you have an aftermarket gauge? If not, that should be one of your first mods.

Thats true Ryde, that was the first thing I did was gauges, and an air filter mounted on the AFM.

Buy a better fuel-pump. It doesn't sound like much fun, but you'll need it.

Also, $1000 in the bank for repairs.

i personally think on eof the best things you could do i upgrade the cooling system and up the reliabilty of the car. then worry about all the other things later(unless you already did that ignore me) then fuel stuffs then i think you should worry about all the really big power gainers

I would do the following in order;
routine maintenance,
fcd,
DP & MP,
HKS PFCON or similar device,
740cc secondarie Injectors,
EGT guage,
FMIC,
brakes (you will need it)

That should tie you over until you get used to the power and get more money.

its a fuel cut defenser.....they can cost up to like 100bucks very important part it tricks the computer into thinking that its running lower boost pressures than it actually is so it lets you boost more

Dont get a FCD without some sort of air/fuel controller, because the FCD doesent add fuel when the boost goes up.

what TonyturboII said is true, you will need something, as long as you aren't boosting the **** out of it you can safely get 10psi out of your turbo without there being too much risk any more than that I would definitely get something to add air!

Right. Id say you could do 10psi safely between the stock fuel system, injectors and electronics. Since you said it was an 87, It would be worth your while to remove the turbo and port the wastegate, should you get a larger downpipe. Id also reccomend a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, some guy was selling em cheap on ebay, or you could get one from the Rx7 store. Im just warning you though, I had a boost spike on a S4 (same as yours) turbo, with only a Fuel Cut Defender and a Walbro pump and I blew my engine. I doubt it would have spiked, and in turn blown my engine if my wastegate was ported. So, you can learn from others mistakes, or your own. Take your pick.
