Smile Turbo 2 engine engine question

I just picked up a turbo 2 with two bad engines. One has a pretty mean street port and has a bad rear rotor. The other is a stock JDM unit and has a bad front rotor. The ported engine has less than 3k miles on a fresh rebuild. How much do you thnk it might cost to get the ported engine running using the parts that I already have??? I have $1000 to get it running anyone have any ideas???

1000cdn will buy a full rebuild kit from Atkins, (everything you could possibly imagine seal wise, aside from external gaskets) if you decide to go that route, if you want to tear the others apart and use whatever is still good then you could get it done cheaper, but this route is a little more of a gamble since you are using second hand internal seals.

Cool thanks for the advice. Wont I have to have the other rotor housing port mathced and the rotor balanced to the other rotor?

If the engine series are identical, check the rotor weight stamp.
As long as they are just one letter apart, you can swap them.

Don't forget to check out Rotary Aviation for rebuild parts. Great customer service.

If you start mixing in the ported parts with stock I'd think you would want to match all the ports the best you could. This only makes sense.

Ha, I just noticed you're local. Howzit livin' in that hippi-town? lol

Smile stuff

Hippy town indeed. I have been checking inot atkins rotary. It seems that they will rebuild the engine for $800 not including parts. If you were me what would you do. Do you think I need to buy a full rebuild kit or just a gasket kit. I am sure that I have to have the stock housing port matched that shouldnt be too big of a deal. Any more advice???
