Turbo 2 diff pumpkin fits N/A?

does it. I know its alot bigger but can it bolt in tot he axles and work just fine? Im pretty sure i saw a t2 pumkin its a hella lot bigger (well u can tall its bigger) and its got a metal tag bolted one says B(8?)Locable?


p.s. how can i tell its turbo from VIN? (isnt turbos "FC31....")

You will need the Turbo2 rear axles, as well as the driveshaft and transmission (flywheel and stater) for everything to bolt up correctly. This is unless you want to re-drill the flange of your N/A driveshaft. You will still need the axles though.

Just check the section on the diff. You'll see pinion flange different bolt pattern (larger), carrier larger, and you'll need the turbo axles also.

damn this sucks. any way to tell an NA has an LSD by looking at the pumpkis? any tags? anythign? damn wheels wont move.

If you can pull the axles out, look through the holes in the diff where the axles were. If you can see straight through, its LSD. If there is a small piece of metal bar going across the center, its an open diff.

theres no markings on the pumpkin to indicate LSD?

There should be a metal tag on the fill plug on the diff that says lsd fluid only of something like that.

lift the rear of the car with both tires off the ground, spin the tires and if both spin the same way is a LSD if the are rotating oposite way is not. that how i check them

i think so all LSDs shuld act thatw ay but sumtimes u cant lift the car what then my 86 GXl doesnt have a metal tag yet it has LSD maybe ti fell off or sumhin when taking out the plug?

Yea I noticed the other day that there is a metal tag that tells you to use LSD fluid only. Let me see if I can get a good pic of it...

The tag is held on by the filler bolt/plug, but can be easily removed/lost when that bolt is off.

yuh thats the problem, but is there any visual cluse by looking at the pumpkin otherwise to indicate a limited slip?

Drop a patch of rubber. If you have two lines the same size its LSD if one is larger or only one its open.
