Question Turbo 2 coversion questions

I planning on doing a turbo 2 conversion in about a month and instead of buying a wiring harness and ecu for about $200 and a fuel controller for another $350, I was thinking of going microtech. If I do get the microtech I will still need to get

complete j-spec engine
downpipe
TID
fuel pump
throttle cable
boost sensor
knock control box

If there is anything else, could you let me know. I planning on doing the drivetrain swap after I get the engine up and running.

Drive shaft

N/T transmission and starter will not match the turbo flywheel.

The series five ECU has a built in knock unit. It's not seperate like a series four

Your going to use a series five in a series four from what I gather. Like the man said above, you have to put the series four front cover and omp on or mix the oil with the gas, in that case.

The series five have some type of boost controler for the turbo that I'm not familiar with.

Glad I did a series four to a series four.

if you use an S5 motor you will need to pre mix (put oil in your gas tank every fill up)

I was planning on pre-mixing along with removing all emissions.

he said drivetrain will come later.. you just need to use the N/A start, clutch / flywheel ect. which I think has to be from the same year N/A as the turbo. IE if you get an S5 engine I don't think you could use your S4 flywheel, well maybe if you swap conter weights?

other thing you need is the hose between the brake clyinder and engine as it has a one way valve in it so the M/C doesn't get boost.

So if I'm doing stand alone, microtech, then I don't need a knock unit. And about the turbo flywheel not mating up to the starter and tranny, can't I just use an S5 flywheel until I get enough money for the drivetrain swap?

This ***N/T transmission and starter will not match the turbo flywheel**** was to give him a heads up that he can't just bolt the n/t transmission and starter to the series five turboii engine. I see from the above post he caught on.

Read this on counterweights: http://www.mazdatrix.com/b5.htm I've seen people disagree with the above site on counterweights. Oh well. I'd give 'em a call and ask what they think. I never messed around doing that swap. Do a search on *counterweights*. Got me.

I not going to mess with the counter weights, just going to get a n/t S5 flywheel, unless I can find a complete turbo drivetrain before I have enough money for the conversion.

I appreciate the help, can you think of anything else I might need? Also, would anyone know where I could get the microtech tuned in Cali?
