turbo 2=troubo 2 = trouble 2

hello all,

Im getting my 88 turbo going, I picked up it up about a month ago. I disassembled the engine, inspected and repaired probs, tested everything and then steam cleaned everything, got it all put back together, worked out all the bugs, and its running pretty good.
It starts ok, revs up to all rpm levels smooth and no smoke or leaks, etc.

Now the prob. when I start it, and it goes thru its warm up procedure, it has a hunting idle,or variance of about 400 rpm. If I go above like 2000 rpm, then the hunting stops, below that, it does go back and forth about 400 rpm.

Then after about 15 minutes it slowly fades away.

Prob - It wont hold an idle. I can hold it at 1000 rpm all day and its fine.. If I let it go by itself it will stumble down to like 500 rpm, give a cough and then stall.

I have the tps set right. I have the idle screw open up all the way and did the idle/resistor resetting.

Another thing. I get a beeping sound while Im sitting there holding the gas, like a computer error. it just goes
beep beep beep... no variances or pauses just one long beeping sequence.

Any ideas? I have a few more ideas but I know theres a lot of people out there with the same cars.. thanks all
mack

Please read the FAQ for FC at the top of this section before posting... it covers your beeping

And your hunting sounds like a vac leak, or bad BAC
