Tuning an S-AFC to Torque Curve

A friend of mine is getting an S-AFC and instead of using an A/F Gague, I suggested just going to the local dyno, and tuning it to his torque curve, as I heard that's the best way. However...

I'm not sure if anyone there knows how to do that.

Can someone explain to me the process? Or point me to a page where I can read about it or something???? Thanks.

I think you've slightly misunderstood what your friend has said. The torque an engine produces is the result of everything done to an engine, including A/F ratios. When you tune on a dyno, you adjust the A/F ratios to maximise power and torque while still providing an adequate safety margin against detonation. A dyno equipped with a wide-band A/F meter is the best way to do this. Experienced dyno tuners know what A/F numbers to aim for for best results.
