tuning, radiator sensor question...

i have an aftermarket radiaitor in my FC, and it dosnt have a spot for a sensor on it. i dont really want to tap it and put one in. and im about to get my car tuned this month. (apexi-pfc) is this sensor really needed? i still have the engine temp and AIT sensors. so is the coolant temp in the radiator really that important?

That's a low water warning sensor. Not temp related. Is related to the Warning Light Cluster LOW WATER light only.

Has nothing to do with tuning the engine. Plays a part if the water is running out of the radiator/engine on the ground and you don't notice the loss of water till............it's toooo late.

Odd. I forgot to mention that if that wire isn't connected to the low level sensor on top of the radiator, that the Buzzer will go off and keep buzzing.

Odd because you don't mention a buzzer going off continuously. That problem can be over come by grounding that single Brown colored wire.

just get a new sensor man, it's there for a reason and it's not expensive to replace. it will tell you if air is in the system for example.
