Tuning the N/A at idle...
My car runs a little rough at idle, which I imagine can be partially attributed to the streetporting and the exhaust, but I'd like to get it to idle smoother.
I was messing with the lean/rich screw and if I went more than like a half turn lean, it sounded like it was gonna stall. I also messed with the idle speed screw up top of the engine, but it had been running so rough at 700-800 rpms that I just said screw it (har!) and turned it up so it idles at like 900 rpm most of the time.
There is also a screw on the actual throttle assembly, but I'm not sure what it does.
What is the best way to tune at idle to get it smooth?
What rpm should I idle at given the fact that it is streetported?
I don't have a lot of tools, and definitely no sensors to see how much unburned fuel there is, so I pretty much have to go by sound.
One problem I have sometimes is when my AC is on and I drop revs from cruising, it will drop very low and almost stall or it will stall. This is usually in hot or rainy weather. It hasn't done it lately, but I usually have on/off spurts of that.

Half the vac hoses & pipes on the engine are there just to manage idle. The rotary has so little torque below 1k that switching loads are an issue. When my BAC got intermittant (I'm still not sure why), I just set the idle up to 1200.
Some day I may wire my e-fan relay to open one of the air bleeds, so the alternator dosen't pull down the idle.
