leaking clutch fluid (all the time)

Question leaking clutch fluid (all the time)

my problem every morning i go to start up my car and the clutch has no pressure (clutch pedal stays in) and there is fluid on the carpet right by the fuse box not to sure if it is from the clutch. and the fliud reservoir is always empty not to sure where it is leaking from. there is also no fluid in the engine bay. and i cant seem to find any leaks under the dash. ????????

Im hijacking this thread.


I got the same problem.. just a quick question.


In the mazda manual it says that you are not suposed to mix different clutch fluid. I have no idea what the previous owner used. Is this a big concern. I only need to fill it up so i can drive it to the mechanic.

rodneyyazzie, SleeperZzZ is right, change your clutch master cylinder. Hurry before it cost you a Clutch.

menace, as far as i'm concern dot3 brake fluid is what I use in the clutch master cylinder. It dose not matter which one you use.

(correct me if i'm wrong)

i dont think it matters with brand, just stick to dot 3 and you will be ok

Always replace the master and slave in pairs. When one fails, the other probably isn't too far behind.
