Tune up

ok, im wanting to do a full tune up on my N/A 89 FC..
just want to know what might be the best type of oil to use and a good oil filter.
no fighting please.


and yes i did use the search button but all i found was people agruing about synthetic vs regular.

with oil it's always a personal preference thing. I usually go with castrol 20w 50 sometimes 10w. For filters I've been buying napa gold brand lately but have used others in the past. OEM filters are probably your best bet.

There was a thread recently about oil filters where somebody linked to a post Icemark made. OEM filters are the way to go.

everyone keeps telling me to use royal purple.. but i have always been a moble 1 guy. and i usualy go with a k&n filter.

im just trying to make sure i do everything right to keep my 7 runing

i've been wondering the issue too, a few people say that if synthetic is used, it could shrink the o-rings but then some, say its perfectly fine.
