Tuff Shifting?

When I get in the car start it up and start driving fairly soon after without letting it warm up it can be pretty tuff to shift into gears. Sometimes it wll even grind ever so slightly. I was curious if anyone else had this problem. Once the car is warm though it shifts into gear smooth as silk and seems perfectly fine. Is this common on TII's?

Thanks

Top off your tranny oil or change it and use a synthetic.
Bleed your clutch hydraulics.
Lube your shifter.

Replace the trans fluid.
I recommend Redline MT-90.

A test- Engine idling- listen to the tranny gear noise- step on the clutch & listen for how long it takes the gears to spin down. It should be <4 seconds.

Yes, I had the same exact symptoms and took it to a local perfromance shop and they drained the old tranny fluid and put in royal purple fluid . Now she shifts so smooth. What a difference. The perfromance shop said that I may need to change it a second time if the shifting was not to my satisfaction, but one time did it for me.

if you have trouble finding Redline check your local German auto parts store, most those places will carry almost nothing but redline.
