Trying to solve this problem.

ok so as you guys know i replaced my injectors but like an idiot did it without the grommets so i got my grommets today and put themon and replaced the injectors and put everything back together and my car wont idle at all. it starts up revs to 3 grand then dies unless i keep my foot on the gas. i tried adjusting the screw on top of the throttle bodies but there was no difference. i also noticed that under the intake tube there was a black wire that goes into a green sensor looking thing then back out to a black wire. this was disconnected but i couldnt reconnect it because the second part of the wire was detached. what is this thing? and could it be my problem? any rotary experts on long island care to help?? ill post a pic of this broken thinig tommorow.

Probally a big vacuum leak or check your afm to see if the plug isnt in all the way or the afm itself is sitting improperly.....this happened to me one time i took my manifold off... my afm was tilted and the car did the same as you....but it sounds more like a vacuum leak so let us know whats up when you replace those gaskets

That green thing is the delay valve for the secondary throttle plates. See the fsm, Fuel section. One end goes to the double throttle diaphram, the other to the water thermo unit.
