Trying to gauge your interests about leather FC options

I mean, interior leather.

There's shift boots and ebrake boots and stuff like that, but I have completed some leather work on a few items and was wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing some pictures, or hearing about it. It's not quite for sale yet, and if enough people are interested I might wind up just making more.

I don't know if this belongs in the for sale section or not, since it's about nonspecific items and a possible service I may wind up doing for a little while.

But I'm talking about leather wall panels, leather door panels, consoles, dashboards, defroster vent panels, etc.

If you guys want to move this, go right ahead. I thought it belonged in the FC section a little more.

PM me or respond to the post, usual way, to lemme know.

I'd like a better leather center console armrest. Most are worn or beat up. Oh yeah, if you can make S4 and S5 door panels with the OEM S5 leather "curtains," I think that looks best. I'll get pics of my leather door panels up later today.

All right, I'll take pictures tonight, posting might be a few days. But about those door panels... I bought two very pristine "black leather" door panels with the curtains, and then did the rest of the thing... the parts that were plastic (not the door puller, though), in water proof black leather.

I'm certainly curious to see what you have done... Ralm Wilms pretty much has the boots, ebrake and consol covered (see WIP pic),

but doors, dash etc.... you certainly peaked my curiosity.

Most people don't realize that real, top quality leather is NOT cheap and IMO, most (I'm not saying all, just most) FC owners are not willing to pay the price for quality asthetic pieces.

I personally am very interested in what you have done!

Post away.

I'd have to agree... I think it's a great idea and I'd love to see some pics. I'd be interested, but it would all depend on price. Leather trim is probably not high on the list of priorities for a lot of folks -- and it sounds like some of the pieces you're talking about are going to be larger items and thus bigger $$ items too.

Love to see what you have, but more than likely, you're going to be out of my price range since I don't even have my car running at the moment.

haha, i just had to say something, your seats look like they have camel toes.

i would be intrested in doors with leather where the fabric is, and a piece of carbon fiber where the pull handle is.

That's why I put my pic in there is for the arm rest. Ralf Wilms already makes these and mine was only like $35 or something... new padding and everything. I maybe be a little off on the price, but it was very reasonable and it'll be cheaper if you don't want the embroidery.

Edit: Camel Toe... hehe, hadn't thought about that, I'll have to see what my wife thinks

So, any pics on leather stuff you do? also a list and price if you have one already!! thanks. I have an S5 convertible and some of my leather is not so good so having cheaper items would help me out a lot!

By the way those Camel Toe seats do look good! he he he

He doesn't have the consol cover listed, but he definately makes them. Send him an email. Great guy, and I think his wife actually makes the stuff.

I actually sent him my consol lid and they did everything and sent it back. VERY NICE WORK!

I'm still interested in seeing pics of this work also.
