Trying to fix it myself
Ok, my car got hit. The only damage, at least from what I can see without taking anything apart, is on the left fender and the bumper cover. My question is.. how hard is it to replace both myself? I am mechanically inclined but have never taken off a fender or a bumper. It seems to be pretty straight forward but I still would like to hear it from someone who has actually done it. I would also appreciate some info on where I can find the fender and bumper cover for cheap. Thanks in advance.
p.s. I'll post pics tomorrow to show the damage

The bumper cover is not hard, but there a lot of 10mm bolts and nuts that you will need to remove. There are three nuts each side in the fender well for the cover which are hidden behind the splash lining.
I don't know about the fender. I've never removed one.

Removal is easy ( ive parted ot 3 fc's.....) but the real question is are the mounting locations damaged by the impact? Getting a good fit is hard when the subframe and mounting points are mangled.....

I already got 2k out of the guy but I need that money to pay for school and some other bills so I want to keep the costs for repairing the car as low as possible. Unfortunately right now the car is down my priority list. Otherwise I would spend it all on it and more.

MY 2 cents....That was the same hit I had.....Repaired everything myself... It's not that difficult....From your pics the metal harness that attaches the front cover to the fender may be damanged. If so just hammer it out on a flat surface. If can't be reused just get some bolts, wide washers and lock nuts and attached the fender and front cover together. As far as removal all you will need is a socket wrench, a 18-24in extention and a 10mm socket. These are al I used to remove the front end. Now the only choice is do you pound out the fender or get a new one....same with the front cover. I choose to get a new/used ones. The whole process took me about 4 hours but I also had headlight damanged too.
I will have have pics soon....my baby is getting ACT clutch installed right now. (BTW Thanks Ernst rx7world for the great price on the flywheel).

As Blvd43 says, it's not difficult. The rear fender bolt (the hated one) is easy to deal with if you have the extension for the socket wrench. Get a can of really good penetrating lubricant (I recommend Silicroil or PB) for all the bolts. Especially the lower bolts at the back of the fender under the car. Spray everything and let it sit for a day; repeat.

Thanks for your insights, I will try to do it this coming weekend. Does anyone know where I can get the fender and bumper cover for a good price? or know someone who is selling them?
