Trying to Figure out what FC I have.

Well I am trying to figure out what FC I have. I look up on carfax and it say It is a turbo.
Well the thing is that the engine is not turbo.
I dont know if its a GXL, SE, GTU etc.
ITs a 87
it does not have power windows, power locks, rear wiper, cruis control nor electronic suspension.
It has a sunroof and original wheel size of 15's with 5 lugs.
Can someone direct me to a site or give me information where I can search to find out what model I have.
I have been wondering for a long time about this.

Thanks
Al

Well It sounds like maybe its an SE because the GTU wasnt made until 88 and the gxl is the luxuary model that has power everything. The base models came with the 14 x 5.5 inch 4 lug wheels so its not that.

if it was made in late 87 (example 11/87) then it would be an 88

All of the 88 models were marked, but I guess it could have been repainted. It sounds like an 87 Sport to me. Does it have a spoiler?

A late 86 brochure (has 87 models):

5 lugs on an S4 w/o power accessories = Sport (if it's an 87)

Its a sport.

SE (base) has 4 lug wheels.

Sport has 5 lug and a spoiler.

GXL would have power options and adjusting suspension.

Congratulations, you have a Sport. The Sport didn't have any markings, but it was unique in that it was the only 87 model to come with a spoiler. Others will argue, but IMO the Sport and 88 GTU were the best FC's made.
