Trying to decide on N/A S4 exhaust...

Soo one of the welds on my corksport catback failed recently...

I know I can just weld it back together, but tbh the whole setting off car alarms every time I go into a parking garage thing was getting kind of old anyways hahah.

I know plenty of threads have been made over the years about exhaust and I've read them all, but am still having a hard time deciding. I know RB is amazing quality, but I'm worried it might be a little too quiet and it looks a little too OEM for my taste...
Have any of you actually heard the corksport cat-back compared to any of the other options? Is the dual apexi any quieter or is it just as gnarly, and are those pre-silencers or resonators or something just behind the mufflers on that?

Also, do any of you know what the back pressure is like on the apexi? Currently I've got RB headers, to RB pre-silencer and with the corksport I didn't have enough back pressure to run my 5th/6th port actuators...
I'm mostly stock still other than exhaust. Am I probably going to have that problem with anything other than Racing Beat?

I've also looked at the HKS Silent, and am open to any other suggestions too!

Oh, also, if I do go racing beat, should I save some money and just get a power pulse cat-back, or do you guys think it would be worth it to go full road race?

Thanks a lot guys

I personally like the sound of the Kakimoto Racing's 'Kakimoto R' cat-back, it's rather bass-ey.
Though on the other hand, I haven't heard the Corksport cat-back though. The Apex-i is a bit loud, while the Racing Beat is a little on the quieter side.

the N1 is quite nice, although its a little small, and comes out the wrong side, IMO. the N1 Dual looks awesome, but it is LOUD, its very deep toned.

the corksport is the loudest thing ever, and its kind of tinny, but it looks right, IMO

the RB one is comparatively tame, and it is quiet, its kind of why everyone runs it

This may not be helpful as I've never heard the Corksport in person. I did have a setup using some Ebay specials with 2.5" cores and almost no packing so I'm thinking volume wise they may be similar. Though the tone was decent they were too loud. I've always liked how the RB cat back sounds paired with their header and pre-silencer I'd just rather have a larger tip. I really like the look of the N1 style mufflers if I could have them with the RB sound and volume level. I wouldn't worry about RB being too quiet. They're still loud compared to a totally stock exhaust. IIRC they are a tad louder than the HKS sport system I currently have which is a good volume for a daily driven car using a header/ pre-silencer combo IMO. My mufflers are a moot point though since they've been discontinued for almost 15 years.

I've been thinking about doing something custom using two of these Borla's

Oh wow I didn't know Kakimoto made an exhaust for the FC! It looks so nice! 80mm is wayyy too big for my NA though I think

The Apexi is only like 2.5 inches right?

I have a full rb setup on my 87 na. I think it’s perfect. Stays quiet when u need it to(low rpm), but gets louder and nicer sounding as the revs increase. Looks like you’re In Seattle. If u can make it down to Tacoma, I’ll take u for a spin so u can see for yourself before you spend.
