troubles with fmic install

I just got my fmic installed and now i can't get any boost, it hesitates even worse under 3000 rpm and its incredibly loud without boost. it also backfires alot more too, can anyone suggest a problem? I already tried finding a vac leak with some carb cleaner and yielded no results. My turbo is also way louder now too.

wastegate is working fine, don't have a pop off. just the stock bov open vented with a check valve on the end of it.

sounds like a toughie....
1. do you have an accurate air fuel ratio gauge? - if so are you running big time rich? if that is the case your increase in backfiring frequency might just be the unburnt fuel
2. will the car idle to the same degree it did before the swap? - if so I would lean away from a vac leak problem, but ya never know
3. the hesitation could be simply the upgrade itself - in other words, there is a reason why OEM's put tmic's or v style intercoolers on - the smaller the area to pressurize the quicker the boost response, (pretty simple stuff but thought it was worth a mention)

good luck with it!!

Do you still have your BAC? Do you have an air source for it?

So you tapped into the IC piping for the BAC air source?

Check the codes. It'll save you a lot of guess work and speculation.

I utilized the stock cast pipe with the nipples on it. I'll check for codes when my friend with a reader is in town.
