Trouble with the Sunroof
Okay I may just be a complete idiot but I have the Haynes manual and I've looked through it as much as I could in the time I have, but I don't see the tear down and rebuild of the sun roof. (I even searched the factory manual online still nothing)
My sunroof is having some personal issues and I'm looking for some documentation on it or maybe some advice.
The problem: When either opening or closing the sunroof the moving portion of the sun roof gets stuck and doesn't pull out enough or doesn't retract back to a closed position. I think it might just be some warn motor bushings or an alignment problem with the track. The problem is How Do I Get To The Motor and Everything Else In The Roof?
well gots to run to class.

Remove the a-pillar trim panels ( they snap on be careful removing them)
Remove the Sunvisors (three screws at the pivots)
Remove the overhead lights/switch console (unclip the clear lens cover, screws and behind it)
Remove the steel trim where the windshield meets the headliner (screws are underneath the caps)
Unbolt the upper pivot of the seatbelts (un-clip the bolt cover, undo the bolt)
Remove the trim panel behind the Seat belt pivots (may require removing the speaker covers on the shock towers as there is some screws under where they meet if memory serves me correctly)
Remove the rear steel trim where rear window meets the headliner (screws are under the caps)
Remove the material weatherstrip/finsh strip from around the sunroof hole
Remove the headliner.
Removing the sunroof at this point is self-explanitory, undo all the bolts holding it and un-clip the wiring. Beware that bitch is kinda heavy and awkward, have someone help you when you're ready to drop it.
