Unhappy Trouble setting idle ??!!

I'm tryed to set my idle speed and mixture but ever time I set it to 750 rpm's engine is shaking and wants to die. If i leave it on 750rpm and drive around couple of days ,idle climbs back to 1000 rpm's I have 87 N/A and i could not locate that initial set coupler yet. Mabye thats my problem? Can anybody tell which plugs in ECU are inicial set?

I don't know where it is on 87's, but that is probably your problem, if you adjust you idle and mixture without jumping the initial set coupler it will not stay right. Our cars should idle at 750 easy...I can get my car to idle at 200rpms without my car shaking and shuddering. You might want to check for SMALL intake or vaccuum leaks, although first find the initial set coupler and go that route..

The initial set connector is a 2-wire green plug located on the drivers side of the engine compartment near the leading ignitor. Just jumper the 2 connectors, start the car (fully warmed up), check and set if necessary the TPS, Set idle for 750, Adjust idle mixture screw for max rpm, Reset idle to 750 if necessary. That should do it.

My problem is that I don't have that green coupler with 2 wires.
It has only the green coupler with 3 wires coming out for error codes? Thats why i need hoelp to locate the initial set wires.
Even from ecu would hel a lot.

The location of the initial set coupler may vary !
You may well find it (as is the case on my car) just behind the oil filler neck on the engine.
