Triangulated Strut Bars for FC

I've only found one so far made by a company called demonspeed. Has anyone dealt with them before?

Any opinions or reviews on triangulated strut bars in general? Seems like it would be a good idea as the FC chassis does have a fair bit of flex, though the specific weakpoints I have not yet had time to investigate.

What are your thoughts on the issue?

here is a link to the demonspeed bar in question:

That bar looks identical to the CP Racing tri-point bar. IDENTICAL

IMHO, it probably does reduce chassis flex, but I couldn't tell a difference tracking the car with, and tracking the car without. If you have a feeling it does something, then you'll probably think you're feeling it when you drive it after its installed.

FWIW, a lower arm bar does actually create a difference in the amount of understeer I experienced.

One of the other pictures on the site shows a bar with "CP Racing" on it. http://www.demonspeed.com/rearstrut.htm I smell a trap.

thanks for the input. i have been looking at the Mazdaspeed Lower arm bar as well.

I did a serch and it seems that demonspeed has screwed over other forum members in the past. to hell with that..wont do business with em.

My car will be getting a full cage with door bars for racing, but i won't be cutting into the front of the car for tube framing so anythign to tighten up that end a bit would be good as it feels...for lack of a better term...sloppy.

I was also looking at the autoexe underbrace kit but i havn't found a description on wht exactly it ties toghether on an FC or whether it will help since the car will be caged.

Putting front and rear strut bars on my car made a big difference. I do want to try a lower one also. As a side note I remember seeing someone say that the ones that mount to the firewall are not worth the trouble since the firewall can give so much. I don't know it that true or not but thought it was worth bringing up to see if anyone knows for sure.

I havn't had time to take a look at the firewall closely but if it's an issue i can always weld a re-enforcement plate where the bar mounts.

I wish i could get some closeup photos of the amemiya FC2000 cage. i noticed they gusseted the A-pillers (is that whay they're called..u know the piller's behind the seatback....where the 3 points are mounted..my terminology sucks).

Yeah, search the Good Guy/Bad Guy section. When I was looking at their lip a few years ago I ran into nothing but don't do business with them.

It may be but looking at the CP Racing POS, it is made to bolt on the flimsiest part of the firewall instead of the ledge area like the Mazdatrix one for example.CP racing is out of business, good riddance!
