Transmission Swap Question

I recently bought a beautiful 1990 GXL.
The problem I have with it, however, is that it's an automatic.
Invariably, somebody will flame me for even asking but to perform the swap is buying an S5 5-speed transmission the only thing I'll need?

theres also one on this site. you can use a S4 trans also but it makes mounting it a little harder. because the rear mount will need to be custom. or you will need to cut the mounts off a 5 speed car and weld them on yours. any way a short list.

flywheel ( get a aftermarket one so u dont have to deal with the huge nut on the back thats tourqed to 300 ft lb.)
pedle box
clutch ( and all that stuff)
5 speed drive shaft
your diff is probably a 3:90 i belive ( good gas milage, slower aceleration) could be changed but not nessesary. if you dont replace the diff. take the thing that the speedo screws in to on the auto, and put it on the 5 speed so your speedo will be acurate.

takes some time and effort but well worth it.

satanicmechanic 's link is good, except the way they mount the transmission. dont do that its bad! not only is it very heavy and over done it dosent keep the trans form shifting left to right. if your chucking the car around u will notice this.
