transmission removal

just to be sure im reading these post right.....when u take the transmission out u gotta take the driveshaft out with it by loosing the bolts on the diff? it seems easy enough....just wanna be sure thats the easiest way.

I would fully remove the driveshaft first. It is pretty easy to remove the driveshaft, 4 bolts at the diff. Then remove the transmission after everything else is removed

You need to remove the driveshaft first if the engine is in place. If the engine has already been removed, you can just unbolt the transmission mounts and slide the transmission forward off the shaft.

i just unbolted those 4 bolts. and what i was planning on doing was take all of it out at once....engine, trans, and i guess driveshaft. bad idea or is it alright? im bout to search for it but im havin trouble gettin the power steering and ac cond off the block. any suggestions while i got ur attention?

The driveshaft will simply slide out of the transmission.

As for the power steering and A/C compressor, what is the problem you are having? You will likely need a breaker bar to loosen the nuts.

oh ok....it will slide out....thanks. i got ac compressor off now....but do i have to take the pully off the ps to get the nuts behind it to take it off or are there other ones i need to take off?

Yes, take the pulley off of the ps, there are 3 bolts behind it.
