If economics are not the issue have a PRO do it, I had them do my transmission when I did my swap- heck they even gave me a warranty.

I had them look it all over and replace all the "soft" parts. Transmission is smooth as glass and makes no noise.

I think I paid either $600 or $800- I cant remember right now which one it was.

I did not question your ability, but since you brought it up and you are ASE certified and know how to rebuild a transmission you would think you could get the parts without asking us?

They don't quote becuase they don't know what's wrong until they open it up. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense

Not having employment should have no bearing on being able to find parts.

it has some titanium because you don't have access to certain suppliers easier. they are harder to find not impossible just harder. and most of the big commercial line auto parts stores are not sufficient for this purpose.

and yeah it makes sense about banzai not giving quotes. just wondering if they had a basis price.

oh well

go to a local transmission shop and see if they will sell you the parts, might be easier once you have yours apart anyhow so you can compare the parts.
