Transmission Problem need a fix??
Ok my prob on my 90 n/a is that, i was driving one day, and then the clutch just had no pressure, and i just had to make due all the way home, so i got home and parked the car, and the next day the clutch was fine, but i went ahead and took it to the shop, and it did it again on the way there, so the guy had it, and hte replaced the master cylender, and slave cylender i think, and i went and picked it up today, and it did the same thing, he said that they were leaking, but the prob is that it dont start acting up untill the car gets warm then i just lose clutch pressure, and it is very hard to get it in gear anyway it trys to grind, and u have to push real hard, well he is going to pull the trans tomarrow and see what he see, but i just want to find out before hand what u guys think, i was thinking it might be the release bearing but im not sure it only loses pressure when the trans gets hot so i dont know, but it is hard to shift all the time and reverse is the hardest of all, sry to go on and on but just tryingn to get my story across,
Please any help is appreciated,
Justin

humm perplexing. a old friend of mine had a simmiler problem. i gess. he lost petel feel all the sudden one night tho after driving for several hours. then the next day it was fine for a bit then gave out all together. so kinda the same. but for him his clutch and his master cyl were both going bad. whiuch was really strange seing as how it was a 2000 sentra SER it was a pos car tho.

I dont know mine has a new clutch i dont know about the pressure plate ore the release bearing i guess ill know tomarrow, but it only does this when it gets hot, so something is giving under heat, but i pretty much know the release bearing is out becaue of the hard to get in gear thing it grinds and stuff like its missing teeth.

Pilot bearing or pressure plate, with a slight chance it could be a very worn pivot ball on the tranny front cover (the pivot point for the fork arm)...
My guesses for the day

The pressure plate "strength" needs to match the type of system you want, but I wouldn't think that using a "normal" pressure plate and a "racing" clutch would hurt anything, unless they're not physically (or dimensionally) compatible. You're just not going to get the grabbing power out of an OEM P/P that you might want for the racing clutch, depending on application.
The tranny front cover was only like $35 when I got a new one a while back, from Mazdatrix, because my "ball" was worn so bad that the fork couldn't shove the throwout bearing straight as it was supposed to do. A shredded pilot bearing will also give you fits, because the tranny input shaft is wobbling around, causing the clutch disk to wobble a bit too...

Did your mechanic replace the slave cylinder or not? You need to find this out, because that still could be the problem. When the tranny gets hot, the internal fluid and seals get hot also...So before you go ripping into the tranny, verify this info...

Yes he did both the slave cylinder and the master cylinder he said they were leacking so those are both brand new we thought that was going to fix it and i went and picked it up went about 2 miles and turned around and went right back so hes got to take a look at everything else and pull the tranny,.

Yeah mechanic pulled the tranny today and the pivit ball on the front was broke all the way in half and looked like it had been that way for a while, but im going to replace that and since it is off im going to get a whole clutch kit i guess an oem on what do yall think about it are regular ol clutch kits any good

The only "aftermarket" made in China type clutch kit I got from my auto parts store a while ago didn't last but about 30,000 miles, so I would definetly go with OEM parts, or reputable vendors...
