Transmission oil level checkage.

Back when I first got the car, I changed the tranny oil, but I wasn't sure if I had it topped off. It was close, but not all the way up to the plug hole.

Today I noticed an subtle but odd new vibration through my shifter, so I thought I would check the level and make sure.

When I unscrewed the (top) plug, a bunch of oil started pouring out before I could get it back in and stop the flow. About 4 ounces came out.

I'm wondering how the level got that high up, and also if I still have enough oil remaining, considering that I lost some.
