Transmission Oil

Is there a specific kind of oil to use that's best for the FC tranny? What about Differential oil?

Most folks around hear swear by redline fluids. I've used redline, it is great, but I've used pennzoil syncromesh (autozone) in the tranny and it has worked wonders for me quieting a third gear syncro that redline did nothing for. It's the same stuff GM dealers use and charge $10 a quart. As for the differential, use a good synthetic like mobile one.

Redline MT-90 or Redline Superlightweight shock proof (use the superlightweight shock proof if you are racing or need an extra heavy duty oil) are the only choices for both.
