Transmission mounts quick question

Im going to replace the 2 Y block mounts AND the crossmember mount on my car shortly. Ive done clutch jobs and such before, and also recently rebuilt all rear subframe mounts and bushings... That was a big job, but more time consuming than anything else.

Do I have to remove anything more major than a bunch of heat shields to get old tranny mounts out and new tranny mounts in??

Any walkthrough info would be nice. I sure as hell dont wanna drop the driveshaft or the tranny.

Compared to what you've done before, it'll be a breeze. The exhaust shouldn't interfere, IIRC, and you obviously need to support the tranny. The Y block nuts on the tranny side are a little bit of a pain - no room for a socket, but no problem with a wrench.

out of curiosity, what do all of these mounts look like? i need to replace what my local shop called a tranny mount, and after i bought one myself it turned out to not be the right fit. what i'm looking for is circular and after rotting out was the cause of my driveshaft/u-joint problem. do you know what i'm talking about?
