Transmission. Had a minor.. set back.

Hey all, was working on the car, almost got it 100% done and ready for driving, and then of course, another thing goes and ***** up. You all know how that is I'm sure..

Anyway, I had the thing ready to go, so took it for a little test drive. Went fine, then about 500 yards from home at a stop sign the tranny made a *thump* sound. A soft one, and wouldn't get out of gear. What freaked me out the most, is that when I lightly let off the clutch, it didn't die. It was like it was in neutral. I checked it to make sure nothing HELLA broke, but I couldn't see anything. Not even a spot of oil after we finally got it home and left it for a night. After reasoning it out, I think I came to the conclusion that it was a Shift Fork/Shift Rod problem, maybe the fork snapped or got stuck or something, cuz its only unable to go into 1st/2nd. 3rd/4th and 5th/Rev it still gets into smoothly. Was wondering if anyone out here has any second opinions before I try and pull the damn tranny out.

Also, if someone knows of a Mazda only junkyard to pick up a cheap used tranny in the Northbay Area, I'd appreciate it.. Thanks.
