Transmission fluid and rear diff fluid??

What kind of Manual transmission fluid and rear diff fluid is recommended for 86 non turbo. I just got my vehicle running and need to flush all fluids, coolant, engine oil, tranny fluid, rear diff and brake fluid all need to be changed. Just wondering what is recommended.

Thanks

I use Red Line products in the trans and diff. Regular gear oil will cause difficult shifting when in cold temps.
Trans and diff if no LSD:

If it's just your daily driver you really don't need the redline oils. I would go by what the FSM recommends and based on the kind of weather there is in your area. I have personally used 80w90 all year round and never experienced any problems shifting. Even on days were the temperature reached below 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

That's odd because they had a TSB on the problem:
J00492 920707 M/T - Hard Shift to 2ND Gear After Cold Start

In fact, dealers were using ATF in manual transmissions back in the '80's to correct the problem.

Haynes manual says 80W - 90 does fine. I personally used 75W - 90 and havent noticed anything.

I'm using some NEO 75W-90 synthetic in my trans, and so far it's been great. It's expensive, but shifting is very smooth at any temp. Before this I was using conventional with a little ATF.
