tranny swap question

Are all the 2nd gen manual trannies interchangable?
I have a 1986 base 2+2 na.
Which trannies will fit on what motor and what chassis.

I plan to get an s5 na motor in my s4 chassis, which tranny will fit? all?

I believe all NAs are the same, and all TII are the same.

They're the same, with the notable difference of 5th gear ratios - S4 has a 0.711, S5 has a 0.697 and the GTUs tranny has a 0.756.

yes i know of all the gear ratios on all of them,
i need to know if they all trannys fit all engines and chassis

they all fit each other. you just need to adress the flywheel and driveshaft problems
