tranny swap
whts up all. im new to the forum and i need advice. my 90 gtu is handicapped by an automatic transmission and i desperately need a 5-speed. i just need to know where to go, how much it would cost and how long it would take to do the work. my cars still pretty quick, i put in a K&N cone and a Borla cat-back and more mods are in the works. i would really appreciate any help.
btw, anyone live out near lemoore ca.?

this would be a good place to look for a used 5 speed tranny
besides that you will need the flywheel and clutch assembly, and also a new counterweight
you also need all the slave cylinder, master cylinder and lines for it
and a pedal/clutch safety switch(safety switch optional, just dont start in gear)
only other things would maybe be the drive shaft(not sure)
might have to cross a wire or 2 to trick the computer
;there are some who have done the swap on here so hopefully they will respond too
