Question Losing power steering when pressing brakes in cold weather. Help!

I have a 1987 non-turbo RX7. When the temperature outside gets around 32 degrees and my engine is cold, I push on my brakes and lose power steering. After about 10 minutes or when the engine warms up the problem goes away. I've been told that the two are not related, so now I'm stumped. Help!

hmm... strange

only correlation b/t the two i can think of is that when brakes are pressed it sucks some vacuum out of engine and engine speed usually goes up a bit. same w/ p/s that it is a drain on motor and engine speed goes up a bit w/ that as well.
