Tranny Swap

I've been giving my tranny quite a beating and don't expect it to live much longer, I know that turbo II tranny is stronger but what do i need to do the swap i've heard that you need a driveshaft off an auto or a turbo, i have the driveshaft on my parts car is this all i need to do the swap?

Well.......
You will need the TII tranny.MAKE SURE it has the sensors in it because the backup light sensor is a different size and is no longer availab;le through anyone.( i know )

TII slave cylinder
They say TII tranny saddle but they look the same to me.

Then the rearend issue.......
You can either get a TII rearend, halfshafts, and drivehshaft

OR
Get a Vert Auto drive shaft lengthened about an inch.

I decided to just get Mazdatrix's Hybrid driveshaft since it is a brand new drive shaft WITH replaceable U Joints.

the auto driveshaft should work without lengthening. you'll also need the TII starter, TII clutch/PP, and TII flywheel. make sure it's an S4 TII flywheel if you have an S4 motor and S5 TII flywheel if you have an S5 motor.

also the TII clutch line.

What are the ratios like in the Turbo tranny? I heard they were taller gears, I really like my first gear ratio it gets me off the line very nicely, would the turbo tranny work nicely with 4.3 gears? or should i keep the 4.1?

except it is about an inch short of fitting like it should...

I guess if you don't care that half your drive shafts input is not in the tranny as far as it should be, it would work.

Please don't post things like this in the threads. PM a moderator or administrator if you haveing problems.

And as covered a billion times on the board, when this happens (typically because of your browser and its issues with the board software) you need to log off the board, clear your cookies, then log back in under your correct name.
