How much on average does a used tranny for an s4 na cost? and is a rebuild cheaper, and which of the two should i do? My tranny is ok but hard to downshift into 2nd and misses 3rd if i shift hard into it. I've been told its probably bad sychros and that a fluid change can help. What should I do?

 

change the fluid too see if that helps, if you have the money rebuild it, rebuild will run you 300+ parts.. if not buy one.. I got one off a forum member for $80 with ~80k on it and its been holding up nicely.
