Tranny Question....

This may be a stupid question....but I was wondering if a 5 speed tranny from an 89-91 would fit an 88 gxl?

Thanx

I haven't seen anything to suggest a tranny variation amongst FCs. I wouldn't recommend slapping an NA tranny on a TII, though.

the TII trannies are stronger? what if he found a TII tranny to throw on an NA? that wouldnt be a problem right..

it just means you would have to swap the tranny, starter, flywheel, clutch slave, and have a custom drive shaft built or also swap the drive shaft and rear end (including half shafts) to T2 versions.

The TIIs are slightly different, and stronger.
