ok im doing the fb/fc tranny conversion. when u get to taking off both tails sections you know there is a shifter box where your shifter goes in(that is connected to the rod). there is a screw that held the 1st gen box in. on the second gen tranny there is some sort of a little pin that i guess has to be punched threw. well i have hit the **** outta it with a screwdriver,flathead,and anything i could find about the same size and it wont budge. is there anyway i can get this out or go around it. i would break the rod from the fc tranny cause the gearbox is no good anyway but i dont think the 1st gen rod and box is as long as the fc. someone help please!!

 

Do you have a copy of the FSM?
The Transmission section is very detailed.
