Tranny & Clutch help.

Im planning to buy a TII engine rebuild it and port it. Right now i have an S5 NA. Can i just put the TII engine right into the car? With the amount of horsepower, will the clutch and transmission be able to take the extra power?

As far as I know, the TII motor should fit without much trouble. The clutch and trans will take the power for a little while, but not very long. If you drive it gently it can last you a while, but where is the fun in that? You're better off doing a TII trans swap. In my opinion the N/A cars should have the TII trans anyway.

the NA clutch will not be able to hold firmly when you mash the gas. You will get some pretty bad slipping.

Also, with any hard launches and "spirited driving" your NA tranny will become tooth salad.

Just pick up a TII tranny. You will enjoy the car much more. I assume your putting in a TII engine becuase you want to go FAST!
