Trailing coils

Alright so I have found out that My car is not revving past 4ks due to the trailing plugs are not even firing! I had my timing light hooked to all of them and only the leading ones are lighting. Has anyone every ran into this and if so what is causing it?

Have you tried testing the trailing coil per the FSM?

They are showing the right resistance, it is just that I am trying to find out why the car dies not rev past 4ks. I hooked a timing light to the leading and they were firing but the trailing were not. could it be the plugs because for some reason my Tii goes through plugs like crazy and I am not even driving it yet.

I think you need to be looking at your secondary injectors. They're supposed to come online @ 3800. Does it just hit a wall? Will it rev past this when in neutral?

It should run just fine on the leadings. The fact that your tach works is a good sign the trailing coil is working. Some timing lights are finicky.

I don't understand how you could be going through plugs if you're not even driving it. Going through to me would mean worn out.

its an S4 Tii. I still have to hook the clutch line and slave cylinder to drive it around, but I want to find out why it does it. Sometimes when I get lucky it will go to like 7ks with alot of backfiring and then just 4ks.

Check the resistance per the FSM for the TPS. Sometimes TPS's go bad and need to be replaced.

For some reason my car is running without the AFM connected. When it is plugged in I can push the flap in and it doesn't even do anything But the code will come on when unplugged but when plugged in it goes to the tps code. any ideas?
