track car idea

just saw this and had a brain scramble

replace the passanger headlight fixture with this for a track car, thier is a piece of tube on the underside of the screen that and intake tube could attach to

i dont know the measurements of it or anything, but they sell this piece at home depot, its for gutters, and its like $10

You mean basically use it as a vent for colder air for intake? I don't see why that would be a bad idea, not for a track car. Go for it and post pics.

That would make for some rather interesting drag, and it'd also probably tear the metal apart.

it might work if you reinforced it some how. otherwise it would probably break off or appart around 50 or so

Was a serious question! looks like an outdoor vent for a clothes dryer, which is why it's screened and has the rain gaurd on it.

hahaha thats most definitly a clothes dryer vent.

reason i asked in the first place was cuz a guy (hand in the pic) put it under his maxima's front lip with a tube running to his intake, and i thought, hey, looks like an rx-7's headlight
oh well. not like ide try it, i enjoy being able to see at night thank you.

I would think you'd have to replicated it out of thick aluminum sheeting/plate and then still have to cut a ~3" hole in the front engine bay wall for it to work.
